6 days and counting

With all preparation up till now gone relatively smoothly and the final team gelling well and looking good on the ice, a slight upset with the Mongolian team pulling out due to various reasons, this adds slight disappointment to Team SA and the organising committee.

The game schedule will be shuffled as there will only be 2 games a day now instead of 3, but the SA games remain at the same time and on the same days, it is only the earlier games that will be affected.

The team will meet for their final training camp commencing on Thursday morning at the Vaal arena and will see the team take to the ice for 6 intense practices to ensure that they arrive in Cape Town and are at speed to take on the tournament favourites, Israel.

The Israeli team, on paper, looks like they will be relatively strong hosting a line of professional players from various teams in UK and the US.

However they look on paper tho, Team SA is rather confident and is looking forward to this encounter with positivity and definitely have what it takes to bring home the gold.

The overall consensus is that no other team has the power and strength on the ice of Burton Mathews, the speed of Damian Cardosa and the stopping power of Ashley Bock.

Team SA will be on the ice on Sunday morning for a final practice before their opening game on Monday night at 7pm.
